Online bought and downloaded game Exchange

Fri Feb 29, 2008 8:47 pm

Hi there, I dont know if this has been asked before, now I bought and downloaded Conquest of the agean when it was released, Ive not played it for a long long time, its just taking space up on my hardrive.

Since then Ive fallen in love with the AGEOD NCP, AACW and BOA settings and Engine.

Now I have NCP and BOA which I am enjoying Immensely, I would like to get the 3rd game AACW but I havent got the money :(

I would like to know if its legal to swap games that have been bought and downloaded online, obviously I and whomever I swapped with would have to agree to delete the game files and serials when the exchange is done.

I would be very greatfull for some advice on this.....

Thanks

Steven

Don't do it!!! :tournepas :grr: :niark:
COTA is such a wonderful game... and just today they released a new patch with lots of goodies including a new scenario on North Africa (Rommel & Co, you know :niark: )

Its the prefect time to get the game another chance! :siffle:

About the legal advice... don't know :bonk:
But certainly its a very good question! :cwboy:

Regards!

Ive just had some feedback from somebody at Matrixgames and they said that they have no problem with the swapping of there games, just as long as its only being used on one PC, Im going to find out if AGEOD mind me doing it and then find someone who wants to swap if I can :)

A strange but interesting idea. I sometimes give games away in quizzes here and wonder if the recipients ever have problems loading them up with the security features in place in games these days. No idea how you would give away a downloaded game in a quiz.

I would say that you should try and get AACW though as I find it to be the best game AGEOD have made so far.

Cheers, Chris

Hi
COTA is Airborne Assault: Conquest of the Aegean.
An excellent WW2 wargame made by Panther Games and published by Matrixgame.
http://cota.matrixgames.com/

But it has nothing in common with the Ageod games except that some of his members also enjoy the game.
For example Robin Pirez graphic artist of AGEod made a beautiful map mod for COTA that i always use :coeurs:
regards!
