What do different color lines mean?

Once you click on a unit in region it connects this region with neighboring regions with different colorful lines. What do the mean?

They show the movement type between the territories (land connection, crossing a river, sea connection, etc.) This can let you know how difficult it will be to move from 1 region to another.
Remember - The beatings will continue until morale improves.
