In the BoA2 '75 campaign vs AI I'm playing to test 1.06, I have observed the AI deposit Rochambeau's force in splendid (if short-lived) isolation at Savannah rather than join forces with Washington.

As with the British evacuation of Boston, the AI could really benefit from helper events to get French & Spanish troops from Europe to America. The AI clearly can't handle these sorts of amphibious operation. It would be better if the forces were "teleported" by event to a friendly-controlled port. If possible, the events could be structured with parameters: Spanish troops to Spanish-controlled ports, for instance, or Rochambeau and other French contingents to the American-controlled nearest the Continental Army.

Choice.

Give me sliders so that I can adjust combat bonuses, supply etc.

Your experts and grognards might want a stronger AI but I want a weaker AI.

By all means have your Beginner, Normal, Expert recommended settings which you as a developer can judge by a reasonable amount of testing, but beyond that give us the choice.

I think Combat Mission had the ability to give huge bonuses to AI or human player as the player wanted.

I don't want to show people that I know more about Sherman's march to the sea than anybody else. I want to enjoy my game and that comes from having what for me is a balanced game even if others think it pathetic.

When I was a child and my father taught me chess he played without the queen until I started winning occasionally, then it was without a rook etc.
