France has defeated the Germans at Metz and laid siege to the fortress there, but the Germans are arriving in France in strength, securing Lille, St. Quentin, and driving on Reims. As the Germans close on the Marne, can the English and French stop them?

I'm watching the French closely, and I'm thinking their rail pool recovery in August is too slow. Right now they recover 50 rail per turn in August, and 200 per turn in September. I may increase that to 100 per turn in both months. Right now, they don't have enough rail to even rail an entire army at the end of August.

If you up rail for this Strat need up Rail for other for me, in Def If I good remember is always 100 so need 150 if attack is 100 (for me ).

But yes French are verys not big up rail move, but for me one other reason is the MM objectif is 2 turn so I can't leave the area in South before now (I try said that without see the new turn and just remember my test in Solo).

So French need to keep troop here and If historical French have big lose here if in the game you have that with other lose (Sedan in the begin I can't do anything, for exemple) for me it's a big chance to lose.

So yes more rail, but also maybe juste one week for MM, (or only win MM by area not lose ). Maybe French troop need a small up, (I talk only about the down in the begin of war OR better position for Blocked army without do anything, in the first Month without Alsace French are do big lose ?)

(only first Sentance is good to take, the other is maybe so it's only a talk by a french playeur xD )

PS : No order for me before 18h delay for me (I not go in my home this night)

Historical battles of Frontier, Mons, Charleroi and the counterattacks by Crown Prince Rupprecht started around 21-22 August and lasted 3-4 days.
So Historically we are on track. Except the battles with Belgians and English didn't occur.

The French didn't fight for Reims, nor on the Marne, now will they fight for Paris or give up and what about the Belgians and English?
Will they run to the Channel ports to protect them or will they fight in Paris?

Kluck and Bulow have been ordered by Col. Tappen to retreat, they do so. The higher command is furious on Moltke Jr.

Yeah, will relink it later tonight when I get home. Takes about 1-2 hours to load it up too, so it'll be a while.

Stripping Ammo and Supply helps, but the French don't have that much of these to begin with. I'm not advocating a huge increase, basically upping them from +50 Rail per August turn to +100 (and reducing the September gain from +200 per turn to +150 per turn). This seems adequate to me to resolve the issue, by the last week of August the French would be up to 800 rail, which is enough to move about 1 full army in a turn.

I didn't get any artillery that turn....
Not only did I not get any, I also lost 3 of the 5 that I had... I should be getting 5 per turn. I didn't order any replacements either.
I had 5 artillery, this turn I only have 2. I reckon I have lost 8 artillery

British orders done.

At last the BEF comes into action and takes quite a mauling. I think the Germans felt the full force of the "mad minute" in that battle.
The battle in Amiens is given as a British defeat, yet we were outnumbered 91,000 to 121,000. We inflicted 110,000 casualties and suffered 72,000. The Entente still controls Amiens. Looks like a pyrrhic victory to me.

Was the French force in Beauvais in time to participate in the battle? If it was there it should have done shouldn't it? Did it come into action? Or are partners not able to MTSG?

@Ebbingford-
That was a decisive victory for the BEF, the Germans suffered horrendous casualties, again as i said in the other post- BEF seems overpowered!.
Outnumbered and yet winning with almost 50% more casualties while lacking Heavy Artillery.
