Austrians unable to enter Italy or France?

Hi,

I'm playing as the British and have formed the third coalition. I noticed that Austria was not entering France even though they are at war and the same with Italy. I loaded the save as Austria to see if i could order their troops to attack. However when i order the armies to attack into either France or Italy I get the message that the area cannot be entered. Is this WAD? I have also highlighted the areas using the TAB tool, but still they just sit on the borders.

Are you sure there are no third countries regions inbetween? To go from Austria to France there is several minor german states you will have to ask for permision to move into.
Regarding Italy, is Austria at war withe the Kingdom of Italy? it's a france satellite, but not france itself. Maybe you have to DOW it too.

You were right, actually Austria isnt at war with France or Italy. But that's rather confusing as I have a collation with them?
