Naploeon vanished along with Murats Corps in Oporto in Oct. 1808.

October 1808 - I lost Napoleons Army and Murats Corps whilst stationed at Oporto. Completely lost a whole army plus a a corps whilst stationed in Oporto at a turn when Britain invaded Portugal. Oporto went back to Portugal controlled. Vanished, not in ledger, nothing. Arghh... I cannot continue this game Saves attached.

Yes, AI event on Opporto's rebellion translates into Kill of all French forces here. Stupid but WAD. The only way to restore this is to reload the game the turn before this happens and use the enclosed event fix (you will add it into the Events folder of the game and erase/overide the existing one).
