Might I have 2 copies of WON on my computer?

I was in the Control Panel on my computer and noticed two of my games have what looked like to be two copies of the game installed. These two games are the only ones I've manually updated, so I might have done something wrong.

The main issue is with WON. There appear to be 2 installs with the exact same file size. When I click on each WON it states it was being used today. Only one states that it is the Jan 13 2016 Beta Patch. Are both files necessary to run the game? I'm not having any problems playing the game (other than frequent crashes when I jump between Steam chat and the game, which I did not encounter in the previous patch).

The other issue is with PON, but here it looks like one file is the game and the other is the Aug 7, 2015 Patch and they have different file sizes. I assume that this is WAD? The patch doesn't appear to be inside the actual game though.

Any info appreciated.

Yes you can have several copies of the game and they would all be working. You better clean & delete everything and install once here.
