Crash in Jan 5th Patch

Thu Jan 07, 2016 8:48 pm

Hi

I'm playing as the French, it's November 1805 (Campaign start date January 1805). Crashed with the pop up text box about 'main.log file'.

Thanks in advance

Phil

Just realised I've uploaded the wrong file; please ignore this post.

The error you get should be fixed in the January 5th patch, you are still with the December 21st one.

Yes I realised this, I had put the wrong file up. It seem now that my saved games and logs are saving within the Matrix/Wars of Napoleon/NGC folder, whereas before, they were saving to My Documents/My Games/Wars OF Napoleon/NGC. The crash was with the new patch, but I have started a new game, and I'll let you know if I get any more crashes. So far, the game seems more stable (I got to November 1805 without a crash), but there's still Spanish units in Paris idling and refusing to be an expeditionary force, and if I make peace with Austria or Prussia (both of whom I am at war with) the next turn they will attack my allies (Bavaria in particular they have a bee in their bonnet about), leaving me unable to come to their aid, due to the peace treaty. I know I am playing the Jan 5th patch via the loading screen info at the bottom right. Thanks again to you and the team: even in the present state, it's a good game and packed full of detail. I bought AJE, RUS and ROP on the Steam sale, so I've plenty to keep me busy whilst the 'kinks' of this game are being ironed out (and I have no doubt they will be, judging by your past games, which are all highly replayable (I also have Napoleon's Campaign (which was brilliant; would love to see the Peninsular War as a future DLC for this current game), TEAW and Civil War II).

I'm working on reducing or even removing the AI will to wander in allied territory, if not threatened.
