I am not good at taking screenshots, or any computer tech stuff.
But I have learned to interpret the symbols.
The green red bar shows the balance of committed units for both sides. Green is your side, red is the enemy. This bar changes as units are committed, or rout,. The greener the better. A big change can occur when fresh troops march to the sound of the guns, or a corps is committed, or when a number of units rout. If you have a huge numerical superiority the bar can be green from start to finish. If you are heavily outnumbered, it can be almost completely red from start to finish. Yet even these situations can change if reinforcements arrive.
There are numbers in front of the letter k, on the lower left for you, and on the lower right for the enemy. These numbers appear to be the number, in thousands, of troops committed to the battle for each side. The numbers go down from casualties and the routing of units, and go up as reinforcements arrive and units rally. Watching these numbers, along with the green and red bar, is a great way to follow the progress of the battle.
The small black numbers in the center show the range at which combat is taking place. When you see the word Assault, hand to hand combat is taking place. The range will decrease as the battle goes on, 1 being close range, and Assault being zero range.
Sounds are quite important. Gunshots mean that artillery and musketry are at play. Horse sounds, like neighing, hoofbeats, sometimes bugles mean that cavalry is charging. Yells and screams, and melee sounds mean that hand to hand fighting is taking place.
I always set the battle circle to maximum delay, as i enjoy seeing and hearing the progress of the battle.
This is not official, just my own interpretation from watching these things hundreds of times, if not more.
