Some things from Napoleons Campaigns I would like to see (DLC?)

Well, my biggest wish is for the game to start in 1789/'93, wow what a long campaign that could turn out to be with all the early generals and invasions. Anyway, I would like to see an 1812 invasion of Russia scenario/mini-campaign - say till 1815? And the big Spanish campaign too from NCP. But my major wish would be an extended campaign from 1793 or so.

+1
Including the siege of Toulon (1793) by british's navy.
ARMÉE DU RHIN : German's campaigns of Generals Moreau, Dumouriez, Souham and Pichegru.
Italian's campaigns of Napoléon
Egypt's campaign with Syria's one, until the Siege of Acre and the battle of Aboujkir a bit later. And then the retreat of Napoleon to France, alone on a boat, by the Mediterranean Sea controlled by England.

I would like to play the revolutionnary wars, but I think a massive mega campaign would be too long. But something shorter like 1791 to 1800 would be nice.

I'd prefer DLC that featured smaller scenarios. Sadly, Ageod's AI really struggles with WON's campaign scenarios. This has been true for almost all Ageod games: the bigger and longer the scenario the more the AI's failings are exposed and that has been even more pronounced with WON. Athena is much better in smaller and shorter scenarios.

However, the small scenarios released with the game are terrible: boring and uninvolving. They're too small! There isn't much to do within them.

So, I'd like to see a DLC present: "slices" of the Napoleonic Wars- the entire 1813 campaign or France 1814 or 1812 or an 1815 campaign that features the other Allied armies approaching France's borders with the French player having to decide whether to repeat history by going after Wellington and Blucher in Belgium in hopes of quick, crushing victory or choosing a different strategy. The AI is much better when it isn't required to control warring nations for over hundreds of turns.

WON undoubtedly will always shine better in PBEM, but most people don't have the time to commit to such ventures. I've owned WON for months, but barely touched it because its scenarios are either too big or too small. So, I'd like to see some moderately sized ones that allow the player to get involved in the game, but don't completely overwhelm the AI.

I believe Athena could manage a 1812 - 1815 mini campaign. I mean, you start with the Grande Armee in full strength and slowly start to dwindle - two years should be more managable than the full ten years we currently have. On the other hand, I hope Ageod can fix the AI - I believe that is possible with some mega-scripts?

Yes scripts are indeed necessary so that the AI gets the big picture. I know of several games (like RUS or AJE) that over time greatly improved on the AI front thanks to them.

That's not something specific to Ageod by the way. As some of you may know, there was the Slitherine convention named 'Hall of Wargamer' the past week. There I met more than 20 developers and all who are on historical games are boosting their AIs with scripts. Perhaps in 10 years we will have fully generic AIs, but who knows...
