Napoleon Dead!

Napoleon died in 1811 in successful battle of Lisbon against wellington. - or shall we say he disappeared? Don't know if this is a game feature (the man himself dead) or an error - or somehow i just cant find him (looked all over) . has anyone else experienced a napoleon battle death? ok with me just presents different challenge.

He got killed in battle - had it with quite a few of his generals in various battles, Napoleon only once however, and that was with the Prussian short scenario - I gave up and restarted. It usually tells you in the battle logs if he snuffed it with a musket round or not. Quite a problem I think if he goes in a Grand Campaign. I lost Ney my last campaign I played. Trying to find the 3 star generals for replacement Corp commanders is never easy. For an Army leader....with good ratings then...good luck!

thanks for confirm that napoleon dead - looks like wellington got it also since he hasnt reappeared - im playing on now up to mid 1812 - and with napoleon gone - no invasion of russia for me! going after ireland again as stepping stone to scotland

Playing French in the Grand Campain for 2.5 years, I have had 8 general dissappear. Of those, I saw in the log that 3 of them died. The other 5, nothing. My theory is the video memory leak over wrote the general's data and they became something else.

If they died, there should be a message in the log.
