Several information

Tue Jan 26, 2016 9:10 am

HI all,

3 little questions:
1/ I read it was possible to change name for corps. how is it working?
2/ I read it was possible to see bonus army leaders give to corp general. i cant find the way to do it.
3/ Sometimes my generals have their ability icons in yellow? what does it mean?
4/ How is working the ability "bon gouverneur civil". If i place him in a regional capital (for example parlerme in sicily) does the loyalty increase 1% each turn in the whole region or only in the city?

Thanks for ur answers.

EDIT :
5/ How is it possible to see advantages and the effects of the "military technology" we develop with 50 Pt cards.

Nnnnnnnooooo... not really. You can change the name of a stack--except Army Stacks--by selecting the stack and <Alt><Right-Click> on the stack's tab above the Stack Panel. I think it's <Alt><Right-Click>, but maybe <Alt><Left-Click>. Try it out, it's one of those, or something like that Image

Yup, select a corps stack, and before you select any units in the stack in the Stack Panel, you have the Inspection Panel in the lower right hand corner with the Corps Diamond on top of it. The tool-tip of the Diamond will tell you to which army command the corps belongs, and what strategic, offensive, and defensive values the corps is inheriting from the army command.

There is actually a color coding to abilities which classifies them into categories, such as abilities which only affect the unit (Strong Morale), abilities which affect the entire stack a unit with the ability is in (Artillierist), abilities with affect the stack if the leader is the commander of the stack (Gifted Commander), etc. But please don't ask me about the colors themselves, 'cause I'm colorblind Image

It's ... hey, wait a minute. This is already question 4. I see what you did there ...

.. oh, alright Image

If it's the ability I think it is, the leader must be 'inside' the city, and if there are any other units in the leader's stack, he must be the highest ranking leader of the stack.

Each turn, or approximately each turn, the loyalty in the region will change 1 percentage point toward the faction of the leader, up to about 75%. That's about it.
the questions just don't stop, they just keep coming and coming ...
Image .. it would completely depend on the National Modifier, but generally I believe it would be rather difficult to see the nitty-gritty details of it.

For example, the Nat-Mod Scorched Earth lessen the ability of a stack without supply to forage in a region belonging to a faction with the Scorched Earth Nat-Mod.

Foraging is done by the stack rolling a die and comparing with regional development compared with stack size *blah*blah*blah*... there's just no way to see this minutiae of details of the game Image

Are we through?!?!

Thanks for the answers.
Concerning color i understand what u said. But it s not my problem.
I give an example: A cavalery ability (blue or green anyway) is blue or green one turn. But the next turn the color change to a fluorescent yellow.
This can mean that ability is not working or something else.
Have u noticed that?

On the other hand I am far too dolorous for this kind of frivolity.

I've never seen that happen

Cavalryman is certainly not blue, but I'm sure I've never seen it fluorescent yellow.

The next time you see that, please make a screenshot of it.

I have seen that ability icon color change on a couple ones that only work when the leaders is active.
Can't recall the name now, but in my current HAN PBEM game i had that Roman consul that gave a cohesion bonus only when active. When inactive the ability icon turned red.

Yes, I have seen icons turning a bright yellow before in other ageod titles. It seemed to happen quite often in CW2 with the sharpshooter ability.

It is just a graphical glitch, it won't effect gameplay. Reloading the game should make it go away.

If I recall correctly, it only happened on my computer with a Radeon video card.
