Guys....seriously.....I've played from Jan 05 and from Aug 05. Probably 3-4 times each.

I have yet to get the event to fire. I send the decree as France and nothing ever happens in return.

I am meeting all the requirements (as far as I know).

NM, control of Wien, troops in Austria.....

So I ask, how many people have had it actually work correctly without saving and accepting as Austria?

That's not the problem. It's not happening ANYTIME. I'm well past October.

I do appreciate that point though....as I'm trying to make sure I'm not missing a variable/requirement.

...and I know they are working on it, but we're a month on and having this event broken is pretty much a game breaker....you can't play a major campaign game with this.

It'a bit frustrating how does event fire or not : Dissolving the HRE is becoming the biggest riddle ever right now, I meet all the conditions, click the event yet it never fires..

Honestly it makes you wonder if anyone beta tested those events...

Speaking of the HRE event; it fires ok for me, but the Confederation of the Rhine confuses me. All the Confederation seems to do is turn the provinces formerly controlled directly by the HRE over to a new nation called, not surprisingly, the Confederation of the Rhine. This new nation is not friendly to France, nor does it lead to the significant changes I was under the impression the historical Confederation ushered in.

Use the console command (diploadd rhe fra 19) to fix this - its due to a dae bug in the script that doesn't seem to have beign fixed yet.

Of course this event should also join most of the German minors to the French alliance but it doesnt...perhaps the devs can explain why not?

It's a bit messy as later on there is another event that turns all those minors into your allies.

Ah. Haven't seen that one yet. Keep being interrupted by patches and re-starting to see if Pressburg fires correctly this time. Really should learn to read code so I can have a look for myself at what should be going on.
