Naval AI or lack of it!

Thu Dec 10, 2015 4:24 am

I normally love to play France first in these games, however, even with historical attrition turned off for the AI, they still leave their navies in the waters too long and their forces are too easy to pick off due to either lack of supply or extremely low cohesion. Destroying the British Fleets should not be easy to do! I cannot turn easy supply on because it would take too much fun out of the game for me.

I first noticed the inability of the AI to resupply units sensibly after completing my first game of CW2. Wouldn't it be easy enough to code the AI that once a unit's (or stack's) supply and/or cohesion reaches a certain threshhold, it will fall back on the closest depot? It would really help the AI be more competitive.
