Ownership of Allies' provinces during war

So as France I am holding Bavarian territory (ally) and Wurrtemburg territory (neutral) and am at war with Austria. In both cases I guess Austria had occupied those provinces.

So how do I give them back to those nations? Does the war need to end and then all territory goes back to original owner (unless impacted by peace treaty).

Also, the option to give conquered enemy provinces to my allies would be a nice addition (France historically used this to reward its German allies). I assume the peace treaty menus and options are going to get some attention going forward as they do not currently do the game justice.

If there is some assistance needed to write scripted events for this, I'd be willing to assist.

Yes once the war ends, regions are given back, except the ones acquired during peace.
We will try to improve peace treaty indeed, but probably not before Spring.
I'll see if PhilThib needs your help. Do you have experience in scripting in our games?

Most of major peaces events where France transferred territories to Allies are already scripted. Now we could envision more, and do special options/scripts for them

Gents: Yes, now that I have played some more, I do notice the scripts handle much of this.

I have not scripted for your games, but would be interested in learning. Is there a tutorial you have on the site (I will go looking now!).
