Seems brighter as the last turns - the offense in Serbia goes well and the Russian front stabilzes - so all is well this turn ;-D

Turn 8: Battles:

The battle of Sedan is one of these typical frustrating battles, where I am attacking with 10:1 numbers and still take higher losses thean the defender - a victory none the less. Another victory around East Prussia and the siege of Kowno has begun. The first battle with the BEF goes well as well and my hopes for my ideal defensive line are rising from turn to turn ;-D.
Wonder why the French try to counter attack again and again in East France - good for me though - another glorious victory ;-D Now von Moltke will guarantee MTSG ;-D.

France and the fleet:
Pushing everywhere in North- Western France for my defensive line - it should result in another series of victories - it just goes great right now - also the important rail lines are finally repaired again...
Paris is in sight, which should force the WE to retreat there for a last stand - it alreyd seems to happen in Eastern France, which gives me the pportunity to go for Epinal and Belfort...I am sending reinforcements to Verdun, as this is the only place where the French could have a succesful counter attack - but actually they should send these forces to Paris...lets see ooportunities are opening up everywhere as I am - except in Verdun - superior in CB - just as planned ;-D
My fleet did neither engage the 5000CB nor the 9000CB British fleet - too bad - now I have to retreat again - so the British player cannot send in reinforcements and catch me...maybe I´ll get anoher shot in future ;-D

The East:
Hardly any Russina resistance so we keep on conquering - with Warsaw getting near ;-D And a very famous general will next turn join our forces in the East ;-D No reason too keep him in Africa - that cannot be held, if the WE players really go for it ;-D I printed state funds again and called generals...ressources went into replacements as I will have some heavy fighting turns ahead in the West until I reach my defensive line - so I have to replace losses ASAP to keep on pushing:

Diplomacy:

All important countries look great
52% to 48% for the CP in Italy
61% to 39% in Bulgaria for us
55%-45% in Romania
and the Ottomans are still out - which is - as explained above - important
with 78% to 22%

Our Allies:

Looks a bit critcal - but my ally told me he will still be able to handle it - I hope I´ll finally draw some attention of the Russians due to my offense in the East...
Serbia is defending deep and was able to beat back the Austrians - and there is a possible break through in Satur Mare - hopefully no disaster developing for my allies...

Turn 9 Battles and fleet:
The German foces keep on pushing - the battle results are still not satisfying - too many losses for my forces - too few for the defenders - but I am getting close to actually be able to end the war by taking Paris - I wonder why my French opponent did not send more forces to Paris and surroundings yet - lets see...
My one shot on the British fleet did not work out, (no battle out of 4 possible ones) but my fleet is also home safley - it will be much harder to catch the British fleet in a weak position from now on, as my opponent is aware of the potential of the German fleet...

The West - more pushing of the WE forces - in two turns I should be in reach of Paris - very exciting - somehow depleted munition trains do not regain more than 50% of ammunition - that makes it hard to keep my arti up and running - anyways the war may be actualy over close to Christmas, if my French opponent keeps on going aggressivly and does not send forces to defend Paris...
In Eastern France I am the first time endangered to a defeat as my 904CB force did auto retreat from Verdun, while my newly arriving 506CB force did not - REALLY??? Never trust the auto stance and retreats of generals...anyways took my opportunity to take more Belfort at the French border...

The East and my allies:
We push onward Warsaw and besiege Kowno as no Russian force shows up - lets hope we can attract the attention of the Russian force in between A-H and Germany - then my A-H ally could send that force to prevent a Russian breakthrough up to Budapest. In general A-H is near collapse - sadly also in Serbia now - lets hope they can regroup and reform. The Russian force pushing into A-H is very vulnerable to getting their supply lines cut - notice the A-H army behind their lines - their push could become their very own Stalingrad...
Even if I would send forces from the West to A-H now, they would need at least 6-8 turns to arrive - so I rather try to hurt the WE and maybe force them into surrender - the doors to Paris are wide open...

Turn 10 Battles: All succesful except one screen battle - our calvary force met a small British stack ;-D
We keep on pushing the French and British in the West and beat back a French counter attack in Eastern France...we wonder why the French player is not using his forces to rather protect Paris...but it will help us a lot!

France and overview:
We push to Beauvais and Compiegne in the West and try to clean up the two small French Forces remaing in the North of the Seine and the Marne - as well as the bigger French and British force. All looks good!
In Eastern France we go on with the siege of Belfort and wonder again, why the French are trying to counter attack us, instead of defending Paris. There is a small force stuck in Verdun so we try to gain military controle of the neighbour province to be able to retreat that force...
The overview shows about equal casualties even though we won nearly all battles - but we have about the same amount of prisoners in addition. And nearly 40 points NM advantage to the French - which helps a great deal!

The East and our allies:

Nothing new near Prussia except the Russians pulling in two smaller forces...
Near Warsaw we seem to be finally drawing the attention of the bigger Russian stack - which frees up the A-H force for the defence near Budapest. Lets see, if the Russians will try to attack us - due to Hindenburg not spawning we cannot organize our forces there in a big stack...
Our Austrian allies are struggeling in their heroic defense against the Russian hordes, but will hopefully be able to hold...
