Recommended AI Detect bonus

There are two conflicting pieces of advice given for the recommended AI Detect bonus in the options and parameters screen.

The AI Detect bonus tooltip says "it is recommended to play with a low bonus for the AI":
[ATTACH]30249[/ATTACH]

The Aggressiveness tool tip says "it is recommended to play with Medium Detection bonus"
[ATTACH]30248[/ATTACH]

So... which is it, and why?
