GHQ, Army, and Corps tutorial would be helpful

Mon Oct 06, 2014 6:49 am

I have been playing now, Eastern Entente, trying to learn this game. I have read the manual lots of times but today something FINALLY registered with me. After I form a GHQ, when creating Armies they have to be within range of the GHQ! D'oh! I think I know now why my units are never very effective with command structures.

AGEOD, it would be REALLY helpful to set up a small tutorial just to get this understood by all us newbies. You don't need a "historical" scenario, just one big enemy unit and several friendly ones. The tutorial should explain, in very basic steps, and tell us to select General XYZ, then do this, then do this, and step us through creating the GHQ.
Then, how to select some nearby units and make an Army, then a Corps or two.
Finally, step us through how to attack that big enemy stack and kick the bejesus out of it.

I have said it before, but this game is not at all user-friendly for anyone who has not had lots of experience with AGEOD games already. A real "baby steps" small tutorial just for command structures would help a great deal.

Maybe this could be added to a future patch?

Tutorials are always the weekest part of Ageod games.
At least the one tutorial part you want is in many older Age games (buy RUS!);
the Age engine of tEoW may be so different than older one that devs couldn't copy and make the tutorial up a-new as usual?
