No mountain brigades for the A-H?

Germans have mountain brigades, even the Turks but the Austro-Hungarians don't. Why is that so?

The Austro-Hungarians have many of those (never tried to build any, could be their entire force pool starts on map), Look at the Armies facing Serbia, at least two mountain brigades start unlocked there, later a large number of Grenzer Brigades get unlocked too...

Well yes I ment there are no mountain troops in the production window. 2 of my mountain brigades got totally destroyed (only the mountain artillery remains of the brigade) and I can't replace them with new ones

Most likely because you still have 'too many' on map. Will need to check the force pool

Phillipe, could you also take a look at the German forcepool for African troops? Iirc a lot of Askari units were raised in the war (though possibly those were added at start). As it is now the German player needs to lose a bunch before he can build additional ones. I think a couple buildable ones at start would make sense...

Even with only the artillery remaining, the unit is not killed. The lost elements will be added as replacements. Depending on settings, you may have to be in a depot on passive to get the infantry elements back, but they can come back. Thus you can't build them unless they are completely destroyed (all elements from the brigade).
