Also, as far as I know, hits can represent a different amount of men with different units, so if it says "82 hits" you still have no idea how many men that actually is.
Example:
For the infantry brigade, one hit equals 400 soldiers, for the cavalry brigade it equals 50 soldiers and 50 horses.
