Creating GHQ's

Sat Sep 13, 2014 5:06 pm

Hey guys,

I'm in the midst of trying to familiarize myself with the game and what's been really bugging
me is trying to figure out what the heck the requirements are for creating GHQ's other than having a 3
star general.

For example, the Ottomans start out with a GHQ in the Caucasus front, but I want to create a new GHQ for the Middle Eastern Front, but
for whatever reason the game won't let me do this. To be more specific, I wanted to make Mustafa Fevzi Pasha (3 star general) GHQ commander who was already
located in the Middle Eastern Front Map overlay region and was not attached to any other GHQ.

So far, I've only been successful in giving Hindenburg command of the Eastern Front. What I have also been trying to do is make separate Eastern/Balkan Fronts for the Austro-Hungarians but haven't figured out this
yet.

Anyways, before I start rambling too much, any thoughts on what I've been doing wrong? Could there be any bugs at stake here? Are some countries allowed a limited number of GHQ's?

Still really enjoying the game btw!

There are hard-coded limits to the number of GHQs. Every major nation is limited to one, except Germany which gets two. Minors (like Serbia) can't create GHQs at all.

Simple : the number of GHQ is limited for each nation.

Germany may have two (that's why you could create one with Hindenburg) to simulate their wetsern and eastern fronts comand.

Other major (France, UK, Russia, Austria, Ottoman) may only have one.

Minor nations may have none.

Also, the number of armies a GHQ can command is 3 + the command rating of
the GHQ general.
