Frontage

Fri Sep 05, 2014 9:32 am

How can I see, which elements fights?
I will take a look at the frontage.
Did anybody knows, if there a bonus in frontage for woods/clear like in the wiki?

As you said, the number of units that fight depend on the frontage.
Frontage depends on the terrain, weather and so on.
You can have an idea of the units that fought by clicking the round numbers at the top of the battle result screen

Have a look at the four threads by Narwhal here. While its notionally about AJE the basics of frontage, leadership and terrain apply in EAW.

Some of the amendments for EAW can be found in the 'gamelogic' file in the 'Settings' directory
AJE The Hero, The Traitor and The Barbarian
PoN Manufacturing Italy; A clear bright sun
RoP The Mightiest Empires Fall
WIA Burning down the Houses; Wars in America; The Tea Wars

That is clear. My question is, how can I see, which elements are really in fight and which not.
And the next question is, in clear terrain is 48 the frontage. In the wiki is written, that 25*(leaderrank+skill) is the bonus. That means, that a 2** Leader with no skills, has double the frontage!
So is the formular correct and if not, how I can see in the battle report which elements (or how many) are really fighting.

When the battle report comes up, click on the circle at the top of the reports. You can then click on each round of combat to see which units fought during that round and how they performed.

I'm at work so can't post a screenshot to show exactly what I mean.

If you switch to the terrain filter, the tooltip will give you much more infos also.

Did you mean this?
Forest has Unitsquote from 48 (Support the same).
Hvyfoot has 6 and Wheeled has 6 too. Means I can put 8 Inf and 8 Art in the battle, that will be 16 instead of 53.
