Ya!
Unfortunately in their quest for World Peace, England missed a few.
It is more of an English Empire- The Irish certainly did not like them and the Scots and Welsh only tolerated them due to the Military might.

Russkies or any others never reached this scale ever.
Mind you all these RED spots are wars of aggression not wars of multiplication (countries joining coalitions which are winning so as to benefit at peace treaties).

Technically, Britain & Sweden have been at war, but no battles were fought.

It must be the Napoleonic era when Switzerland was a satellite state of France.

No, I don't think so. By the time Carlos Quintos was all this (early 16th century), Switzerland has been independant from the Habsgurgs for at least 250 years.

Oh oh. Ya. True. I mixed up the dates. They were separate much before the 30 year war.

French and Spanish come a close second, though who can be called bigger is debatable, Spain certainly took the lead but collapses in the 17-18 century and was relegated to a 3rd rate power, but pre 1650; Spain was a major power even bigger than England.
France's great gains came in the 19th century - Scramble of Africa, with Algeria as the Crown Jewels (i have discounted John Law's Louisiana here).
