Baltic Shipping Zone

Tue Dec 09, 2014 9:25 pm

As the Eastern Entente Player of a MP, I launched an attack with the Baltic Sea battleships against Central Powers merchant vessels in the Baltic Shipping Zone in late August, 1914.
In the following battle, a few Central Powers merchant vesselts sunk.
But I was surprised about the fact, that all other merchant vessels changed from Central Powers to Eastern Entente. A very lucrative prey for Eastern Entente.
Has anyone tried to do the same? I guess this must be a bug ?

Well, the merchants are pretty much useless for the EE. Which version are you playing? The
Baltic Shipping Box is supposed to represent an abstract of ships plying the ports all over the
Baltic, not just a single fleet in one place, so really that should not have happened. Catching
one or two at a time perhaps, but not all of them. Early beta versions of the game it was an
easy thing to do, but that was supposed to have been fixed. It would help the devs if you could
post a save of the game.

I wish the EE had its own ships in the Baltic even if just for abstracting Russian commercial traffic, albeit true, they are not useful as supplies transports unless the Russians invade Prussia massively by the sea.

Thanks for answers. I guess the EE can´t use the ships wisely but I think the Germans will have any lack without the ships.
I use the steam version of the game. Although I agreed to automatical upgrades, Steam says I use the BETA Version.
I failed in uploading the file, sorry. The file would be invalid. I, as a computer fool, don´t understand this .

You can post it here if you like.

You can also use a free hosting service, like wetransfer.com. In a single ZIP please!

I hope I load the zipped file as an attachment correctly.
The German merchant vessels were added to Russian Baltic Fleet.

I see that the box is a normal sea region whereas it should be a special shipping region. This problem was fixed in 1.01, is it a campaign you started in 1.00?

Also, don't activate zip compression in-game, unless you are doing PBEM.
