As the CP I do not do Schlieffen and avoid bothering Belgium. I want to delay the UK
as long as I can so my fleet can combine with the raiders and play hell on the French.
On land I hold the line in the West and try to take out Russia first, then Serbia, guarding
against Serbian raids (they do tend to go deep sometimes). Once Russia is rolled up
I can then make a run through Belgium and take out France, or get them so demoralized
they sue for peace. A recent game I won I had chosen to go through the Swiss, and there
were a lot of bloody battles in Basel. I don't think I'll pick on the Swiss again, even though
I took most of it and still managed to win the game without coming near Paris. I might
have won because of the millions of dead over Basel. They were awfully single-minded
about there, and Lausanne. The WE always seemed to lose twice as many as I did in
battles there and in Northern Italy. Mountains are a bitch to fight in
Having a fleet that dominates the high seas is awesome, and I can take on the UK and
win against their ships. Very important to get out there and go after the French right
away though. I was even able to take most of Southern Africa because of a strong fleet.
That was very slow going though, even with the 3 corps I shipped down from Germany.
This was on Lieutenant level with normal aggression against Athena. A human player wouldn't
have let me get away with a lot of the stunts I pulled.
