Western Entente naval access to the Baltic??

Mon Nov 17, 2014 10:15 pm

So how does the Western Entente get naval access to the Baltic? Which countries have to be on the WE side? Norway? Denmark? Sweden?

Not certain, but I'd think you would need two of the three. I'd prefer the WE having submarine access from 1915 or so, since they actually sent subs in to target German shipping in the real war.

As WE, I have sent submarines into the Baltic. I did not have NOR, DEN or SWE as allies. The subs actually sank some German ships.

How did you manage that? Every time I've tried it I get a message saying it's an invalid move.

I have no idea. I just decided to try placing British subs in the Baltic and it worked. I will try it again after I complete my current game of CW2.

Please do let me know how, when, and what nationality. I'd love to get this working.

Well, in my own game, playing as the WE, the British submarines reached the Baltic by sailing up the Kiel Canal:

I'm not entirely sure the game is supposed to let them do that. I did think it was very sporting of the Germans, though!

Well, while not very historical at least the subs can reach there.

That's kind of the problem. Subs should be able to move through the Skagerrak.
