Change needed on the forum to make it more appealing

Fri Aug 29, 2014 1:58 pm

Not directly related to EAW, but I think it should be mentioned : the old Paradox style forum organisation of putting the AARs in a different section of the forum isn't good for the forum and to appeal to new members. When you go in the EAW forum, being able to see an AAR in the AAR forum elicits curiosity and helps bring up interest. It is a minor detail but I really think it would be better for the forum and therefore for AGEOD generally ! Cheers.

Looking forward to many AARs to convince me to buy the game.

Once the EAW AAR forum has been fixed, it's linked in this forum as well as in the AAR section. I think that's a neat way to have it available both in the directly pertaining forum as well as a section dedicated to all AARs.

Check the CW2 forum, one cannot see inside the AAR subforum from the main game forum, so cannot know if there is a new AAR, or new replies on an AAR he follows. We have to actually click to investigate. This is bad in terms of enticing readers because it means that your eye doesn't get caught, you have to do a voluntary action. Not the best design in my book. I know it is a minor issue but still.

I would tend to agree. It would be good to see directly in the main forum an AAR link, pointing to its true location, the AAR forum.

I see what you mean. I'm just not sure if this is possible to fix it by showing a link to the latest post in the EAW forum as well with vanilla vBulletin, it might require a third-party addon.
