AI Foote's river fleet

Tue Oct 07, 2014 10:16 am

Playing as the CSA in the Mississippi river region I have been disappointed to see that the AI Union fleet under Foote stays way up river in Nebraska! OK I have been successful in taking Cairo and St. Louis BUT the AI never even tried to stop me dominating the rivers. IRL Foote conducted joint operations with Grant's Army in the Mississippi/ Tennessee/ Ohio river regions. The AI needs to be more aggressive with its river fleets. And it needs to use them in co-operation with the Union armies.

Thanks for the things that have improved since I last played ACW2:
1) Great tool tips for the battle planner!
2) Much fewer wandering generals with no troops!
3) The Union is making some coastal attacks/ invasions now.

Thanks for continuing to improve this great game. I feel that the AI should now be the main focus for improvements.

EAW should help here, as we did work for End all Wars who will help CW2.

And a friendly reminder, this is because we did EAW that CW2 is improved... Deduce what you want from that ;)

That is the beauty of SYNERGY which is defined as: "The interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements."

Also Napoleon's Campaigns 2 will benefit from all of the wonderful work you are doing for CW2 and EAW!! :w00t: hint, hint...

I deduce it like this: if you buy new titles like EAW, you help improve the engine and thus the other games.
That's one of the reasons why I bought EAW right when it was released :)

Yes, I buy anything new that AGEOD publishes now. There is no other game company like them out there in my opinion. CW2, EAW and Pride of Nations are my favourite games ever. I want to support them and hopefully they will be around making quality games for many more years! Including (I hope) a new version of Napoleon's Campaigns: it is the 200th anniversary of Waterloo next year...
