Crash when clicked on Strategic Atlas icon

Fri Oct 25, 2013 9:19 pm

My CW2 crashed when I clicked on the third icon at the top left, the Strategic Atlas. While crashing, the game politely requested that I post the log and my save files, which I am trying to do. Sadly the upload function does not seem to like my save files.

Crashed again, this time on day 15 of processing the turn.

I think this is the new !Main.log file, but it is possible that this upload over-writes the previous one or vice versa. Uploads on this forum do not make sense to me.

... and when I reloaded all my orders were gone and the state was back to the beginning of the turn. Re-doing all my orders feels like work, not fun, which is a bad sign.

There is a memory problem it seems, can you try reducing memory usage (it's an option in the Options window, system tab) to the leftmost position. same for max texture size. Then restart the game. if it seems stable, push the options one notch to the right and try playing again.

if you get crashes, then you should probably be saving your turn regularly, just in case. The game saves your orders when you click on end turn but that's not enough in your situation.
