Sat Mar 15, 2014 4:07 pm

Same as previous post - running 1.03 but W7 just updated; no previous problems. This happened today; CTD #1 happened yesterday.

First crash don't report anything, this one seems to indicate an interface issue. Did you upgrade also your game from 1.02?

Is the problem reproducible? I don't think it happens when you are ending the turn, so is it tied to a specific manipulation during you playing the turn?

Hi Pocus,

I began this game as a Apr '61 start using 1.03. CTD #1 and CTD #2 happened during the same game but different turns. I can't reproduce the crash. It does not happen during the end of the turn, but, as you say, when performing a specific manipulation during the turn.

If that's an interface bug and you can't repeat it, this might be a memory problem, the game is still running on pre-directX 10 so perhaps there is an hardware compatibility of sort. If you manage on the other hand to reproduce a bug while manipulating the interface, then we can definitively fix it.

Memory usage sounds like the culprit. I use integrated graphics and have the texture memory allocation turned up to the max. I also play with winter textures enabled and usually have several apps running in the background as well. I have 4GBs RAM, but I'll try killing a few background apps the next time it happens to see if that fixes the problem.

Probably more a VRAM than a regular RAM problem then, if that's semi random crash.
