Gamelogic File

I am trying to fiddle around a bit with unit and leader experience gain, as well as command points. I have found entries for these values in the GameLogic file, but I am not sure if the game is picking them up. Can someone tell me if the game in fact reads these values, if they are cached somewhere, or if the values are actually hard-coded?

These are all read dynamically, no caching here. Only models and units have a cached file.
