Mixed Brigades/Training

Wed Dec 25, 2013 1:18 pm

Playing the Republic.

1. I notice that most of my militia battalions convert to regular troops toward the end of 1936, even if I do not train them. Is there any way to convert the militia mixed brigade units to regular mixed brigades? Otherwise, they seem to become useless over time.

2. Can a training officer train militia battalions that are organized within mixed brigades?

1.- No. You can use militia mixed brgades with room inside to catch militia battalions non converted to regular.
2.- yes.

Or just buy some militia replacements, if the brigade with an open slot is on a depot chances are it will receive a new militia battalion (max one per turn, so 4 replacemnts over 4 turns to fill a newly raised mixed brigade). Of course if you have many damaged militia battalions those might eat up all the replacements before an element is added to a mixed brigade (or regiment)...

Thanks - forgot the auto-filling with replacements. ;-( Cannot wait for next patch particularly if it addresses the ability easily to penetrate enemy lines . . .
