Map Modding??

Fri Aug 05, 2016 8:56 pm

Is it possible to mod in extra provinces to the map? I want to add more provinces or breakup existing ones in Virginia to break the stalemate that always happens.

Not that I know of. In beta testing we offered corrections to the map but the devs said it
was past being done. It's hard coded into the program. The next version of the game it
might be. I believe you can take the map and alter it, but then the game's code won't
match any alterations.

It can actually be done but you need to get the map utility from PhilThib. I was also considering taking a shot at adding a few extra regions in the east but have not found the courage yet.

It is a developer tool, has no documentation and is a beast to use by everything I have read about it. It also requires a BMP version of the map which i believe Phil could provide with the utility.

The forums are being a bit unresponsive for me at the moment so I will chase down a few relevant threads i found once speed improves.

Actually, having reread some of those threads I think we should have just left it with DrPostman's reply :non:

It's not just you. Takes forever to load and when I post it asks if I'm
sure I want to leave the page, but it still posts, in spite of throwing me
to the edit page. I have to click on the thread and there's my reply.
Strange.

I think the guys running the forum now have implemented something to prevent all the spamming that has been going on. Not sure which is worse though.
