Game Setting Questions

Sun Feb 28, 2016 3:38 am

I know most of the settings from AACW but there are some new ones for this one:

Extended Pool: What have been people's experience playing with this? Specifically in a PBEM game?

Traffic Penalty: What is it and what are the different setting levels (the tool tip doesn't change when you select different levels)

Finally, Automated replacements are on by default. Do people normally play with them on, or go to manual? I'm used to manual but if it is appreciatively harder in CW2 as opposed to AACW?

I appreciate all of the insight!

I have heard, in such a way as to believe it, of your recently saying that both the army and the government needed a dictator. Of course it was not for this, but in spite of it, that I have given you the command. Only those generals who gain success can be dictators. What I now ask of you is military success, and I will risk the dictatorship.

-Abraham Lincoln, 1863, in a letter to Major General Joseph Hooker.

I have never used the extended pool option, I think most people use the default option in PBEM. I always use manual replacements; I don't like the computer make my choices for me.

I tried the extended pool once, but just once. I prefer manual replacements as well.

I've never tried extended pool, due to the warning. I always engage the upper levels of "traffic penalty"; and, I stopped using "auto-replacements" since it eats up too much turn resources. Manual only for me.

I always choose Extra Blood, Euroweenies ON, and IQ Dampening for Opponent in PbeM.
