Another New Noob Question

Just started playing the game a few weeks ago and I love the complexity. however, is there a list out there that explains what certain units are and what they do specifically flatboats.

Flatboats are mainly used as a cheap way to build depots in regions with harbors.

Flatboats are more than just building material for depots, they are also transports--very slow transports, but depending on the situation, they could be handy for just that. Think of landing in a swampy region that you could not march into within one turn.

They are also supply units, which means they carry supplies and draw on supply sources. You might think of them as being one step this side of a depot, but they are still mobile.

Flatboats are all-around useful and a good use of scarce resources for the CSA; I build a half-dozen or more every game.

Unfortunately there isn't a good comprehensive list of what the various units specialize in that I know of.

The "Points to Know" thread should definitely be stickied, it is one of the best threads on the CW2 forum.
