Money from regions

Sat Jan 31, 2015 6:12 pm

Trying to understand the generation of money from regions better.

Fired up RC5/April start/Union and pulled up the region list. Northern California shows 33, which matches exactly what I see from Benicia Arsenal (2), Sacramento Capitol (1) and the three gold mines (10 each).

No orders. I just hit next turn.

Turn 2: F8 now shows Northern California generating 34 Money. But the structures are still showing 33.

Likewise, before processing the first turn, New York shows 25 Money according to the Regions List, but the structures that generate money are Starr Arms Co (1), Adams Revolving Arms (1) and Port of NY (20). So New York is showing 3 more in the regions list than structures seem to support.

Where is the extra money shown in the regions list coming from?

Based on my (outdated) understanding of AACW, and assuming ACW2 uses a similar calculation, I surmise that it is due to NM/VP bonus modifiers.

This difference is the NM and Loyalty modifiers acting on the region.

The structures list gives the base production, the ledger will show you the actual amount produced after the bonuses are applied.
