Virginia is whole again!

From a side conversation that started in the Supply questions thread:

Suck it, Athena!
hehe
:D

(it's not really worth it, though. I had to build 2 supply depots in order to ensure that the Army of the Shenandoah remained supplied. Although, the possibility of invading Ohio in force next spring is intriguing, now...)

Heck, forget Ohio, you can probably keep and hold Pittsburgh from that position!

Did you attack from the south or along the B&O railroad? I noticed the stockade SE of Morgantown; was that used as an attack corridor, or did you build it to help Floyd withdraw from Clarksburg in the early turns?

I sort of performed a pincer movement with a few regiments moving into Lewisburgh and Charleston, and Jackson's force moving down the rail line and into Mogantown in late September or so.
I built the stockade after building a supply depot in the early winter of '61. I needed it to supply Jackson's aborted attempt to capture Clarksburg before the mountains were buried in snow. I'm glad that I did too, because the winter really walloped all of us.

Anyway, Pittsburgh is actually what my goal originally was. I've been placing demonstrations there (and in Allentown) since turn 1, so there's actually quite a bit of Confederate support available. However, looking at the situation now, if I can push up to Cleveland and cut all of the rail lines running through that area... I'll have basically cut the Union in half!
I still have plenty of force along the Potomac as well, so if Athena pulls troops from DC... hehe
