Rebs "Indian Cooperation" Card working?

Fri Jul 04, 2014 1:36 am

I'm late in my PBEM but I thought I would bring this up. I paid three times for Indian Cooperation, which puts a indian unit in a indian camp. However, as you can see below they show up one space away from the camp. Now the only way to activate indian unit is by using the "subvert indian" card, but that has to be played on an indian village. Since these guys aren't on the village they are not eligible. Now one thing I noticed in the flavor text for Indian Cooperation is that "their obedience will be uncertain". Is that what happened here, or is this a bug?

Sadly, a bug. I haven't been able to use Indians cards properly.

I can confirm I haven't been able to use the indian cards either.

Hi Pocus can you check the Mescaleros card too. I've paid to bring those guys on and only one unit showed up in an indian village, and then disappeared next turn. I checked with my PBEM opponent and he confirmed he didn't play a retaliation card. Thanks.

Mescaleros card works. It is intended not to put Mescaleros under your control, but under AI control. They are bandits that wreak havoc once you pay them. They are not military units which receives order from their CiC :) .

This should be fixed for next version, you can now subvert Indians from further afar their village. If they are adjacent, it works too!

So you understand the gameplay, there is a two steps procedure. First you can get the 'cooperation' of Indians, which in fact creates an Indian unit, but created by the Indian side. Then, to truly acquire them to your cause, you must subvert them. The cooperation creates the unit in a village, but as they are controlled by the Indians faction they can move away. Now with the new subvert option, even if they are adjacent, you can take over them. If they move further, you can't.
