Does Synchronized movement work?

Mon Dec 02, 2013 10:26 pm

Tried to make a screen to show but messed it up. I had Lee with ANV, Jackson's Corp and Longstreet's Corp moving into Alexandria from contiguous but different regions with the synchronize movement feature set for each. Jackson got there on day 5, Lee on day 7 and Longstreet got there on day 9. Do I not understand how this is to work? Do they have to start in the same region?

The various corps and army must begin their movement in the same region. You click on the army stack and move it to the desired destination. The movements for the corps are automatically plotted. This gives you confirmation that the synchronized movement has been done correctly.

During design it was considered if it would work for different regions as well, but it was deemed unlikely for command structure of the time to be able to synchronize large scale movements from different regions to target region.

But, there is a catch, MTSG is more likely to trigger the shorter the attacking corps needs time to get there. So, if Jackson gets there at day 5, Lee only 2 days away will surely MTSG to aid Jackson Corps.
