Disable AI

Sat Nov 09, 2013 11:56 pm

What does this button do? I have tried it - it blocks the game from advancing, but there seems to be not manner for the second player to input orders. I was hoping it could be used for hotseat.

For hotseat, it seems the only way is to reload as the other side - the disable AI button should let us do this without existing, no?

It doesn't block the game. Use it if you want to run turns without ai, with blank orders for one side.

Remember that a lot of the AGE engine is common across all games. The disable AI logic is useful in say PoN. Here, in PBEM, you may find a player doesn't submit orders for a few turns but doesn't want their country to revert to AI - in that game, if at peace and with a balanced economy, you can get away with this so the disable AI function has a practical value.
