Feature Request - Leader List

Wed Oct 30, 2013 11:21 pm

In the List of Forces could we have a button that sorts the leaders according to rank and seniority. Benefits are self explanatory.

In one of the tutorials it shows how to do this as I recall. I'd prefer having a button for that like there was in the orginal game like you request.

It's sort of possible on the Forces tab (F1).
Here's an example, with Naval units filtered OFF (clicking the 3rd button from the Left, up top - note the red "X") and sorted by Leaders (clicking the 3rd/"Stars" table column header):
[Note the leaders in the stack that show up in the tooltip.]

Although, I also liked the AACW1 leader roster better.
One idea might be to expand the "Outliner" widget (on the main window LHS) to show the hierarchical structure of Departments / Armies / Corps leaders.

It would also be nice if the message about a leader just promoted via a script event would center on that leader's current location.
Or maybe just a "find leader by name" search box, since it's such a large DB. :siffle:

+1, Especially on reviving the seniority column. I'm in my first ACW2 campaign and it's very frustrating to have no way (that I can find) to have a global view of the seniority standings among the leaders.

Yup. Considering the emphasis that ageod games place on command and control, especially in aacw2, this is a conspicuous absence.

I also always wanted the AACW1 ledger to make a return as far as leaders were concerned, so +1 from me.
