Question on causalities

Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:14 am

1]When the game tracks total causalities, does that include disease as well? or only deaths in battle?.

2]The total amount of prisoners is not included in deaths correct?

3]What of total causalities, why does it not include wounded?.
"How do you like this are coming back into the union"
Confederate solider to Pennsylvanian citizen before Gettysburg

"No way sherman will go to hell, he would outflank the devil and get past havens guard"
Southern solider about northern General Sherman

"Angels went to receive his body from his grave but he was not there, they left very disappointed but upon return to haven, found he had outflanked them and was already there".
Northern newspaper about the death of Stonewall Jackson

A partial answer...The F11 key takes you to the objectives screen. Your casualties, along with prisoners taken, appear on the left side of that page. The opposite, lower right side shows the enemies casualties (but not prisoners).

To my knowledge, attrition (disease, disertion, illness, etc.) are handled in the war production area, via "chits" to make replacements for casualties and any other form of loss.

At the end of each battle, you can see your casualty (butcher's bill) list for each division/regiment/brigade.

If you have enabled historical attrition, that stat becomes apparent after any march through harsh conditions, mud, or less developed territory. Part of the attrition, however, is merely a loss of cohesion (stragglers) and the stack will replenish once rested and supplied.

Your other questions are beyond my current knowledge.

Casualties incurred through 'disease' etc. are represented by hits on elements. These, of course, can be replaced by replacements.

During battle about 1/3 of the hit incurred will have 1 CC added to your CC-Pool. These are the wounded, but they are not recorded separately.
