Medics and support units in a stack question

Thu Aug 13, 2015 10:52 pm

If your medic unit is in the army stack but not a corps stack, does it still effect the corps. or must you place one in every corps to add bonus?

thanks

A medic unit only applies to the stack it's in and not the entire army if in an army stack.

See post #2 here: http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?35445-Support-Units-in-the-Army-Leader-s-stack

I also found the below Q&A in the original ACW forum so it appears to be the same with Civil War II:

Q : Do medics provide their bonus if kept at Army HQs or do they have to be in the same region attached to a corps?
A : A leader with the special medical capacity gives +15% to the cohesion recovery rate to all other elements of the stack he's in. A medic in the same stack as an Army HQ only affects units in that HQ stack, not the entire Army.

That Q-n-A is really funky, "leader with the special medical capacity" .

1stV check the ability tool-tip of the unit in question. It will describe pretty comprehensively, whether an ability is per unit, stack or region. There are only a couple that state that they are for the stack the leader is in, but if the leader is the highest ranking in the region, it is valid for the entire region.
