Hey guys i just wanted to share with you my experience.

I manage to so severelly beaten in a PBEM game that it shoud be noticed and my opponet should have an honour of being recognized as great victor.

Playing as union, i manage to lost by the end of 1862.

What is really impresive is hov may opponent keept cool while at some point union troops were in occuping Litlle Rock, whole Missoury, big part of Texas, HF and Winchester were turned in to redoubts and Norfolk was under siege.

I guees i played to agresivly. What came to me as a supprise was power of the land batteries in redoubots.

They litery destroyed my fleet on Mississippi while i was trying to keep my forces committing flanking maneuvers.

Any way orphan_kentuckian really destroyed me. And it was his first PBEM game.

salute!!

Well first of all that is very kind of you to say so here Marek, my good sir. However I feel like you are giving me a bit too much credit.

This game was very close up until about a 3 month period where some terrible reversals for you just went my way. I don't want to blame the beta patch, I just feel like the battles/retreats (or lack thereof) are very strange. The massacre/capture of over 50k men in one battle (3 separate engagements of this battle) all with over a -9 morale hit would be hard for anyone to overcome, esp when you were at what...80ish morale at the time? That just caused a very fast death spiral for the Union. Needless to say it was all downhill from there and not hard for my high cohesion to win even more battles.

So, with that being said, it was a great game and extremely close up until that turning point.

I know I learned a lot from Marek and I hope he learned something from me as well. Most importantly I had a ton of fun!

That's what it's all about.
