In a related vein, I thought I read in one of these threads that you can eliminate Indian units by destroying their villages. Is this true? But how do you know which village(s) the particular Indian unit "belongs" to? I can't seem to be able to discern what a particular Indian tribe's "home" village is. Is there a way to find out? I have thought about going on a preemptive Indian village burning campaign before they can come on board against me.
I don't know if you can be quite so pro-active in the vein you describe in the second paragraph. IOW, I don't think Project Get the Indigenous Folks 'fore They Get You is supported by the code. I am under the impression that you have to wait before you can fight with them - the phrase "Not at War with your Nation" seems applicable (i. e., Neutral).
I have a Union game where the Lakota, I presume, took Ridgely, MN. I ignored it. Now I can't enter the Region, apparently.
As I've told my wife (from Minneapolis), "Between the occasional tornado and the godawful winter, don'cha think this is God's way of saying, 'Don't live here?' "
She doesn't mind my sense of humor.
