Warren County

First off fantastic game.

Warren County Virginia......I live in Front Royal which is to the east of the Shenandoah River and the county seat for Warren. Seems in the game I've been moved to Clarke county and didn't even need a moving truck. Not only did I move to Clarke county but someone relocated Warren to the west side of the Shenandoah and Strasburg now sits in Warren.

Just having some fun.

As a fellow Virginian, there is problems with a lot of Virginia counties in the West. I am from Lynchburg and it is intersting to see Roanoke County north of us. Along with Charlottesville in Nelson County and not ALbemarle county....etc....

I don’t know that it happened in Virginia but a lot of states split counties and made new ones over the years.

I have no idea how the counties or the maps used at the time were arrived at but I do understand that is not an easy matter to change the names in the game data base.

Most of these names have been there since ACW without many people noticing.

I am sure on some grounds we could rename every region of the map but I try not to think of the regions as counties.

The region names were updated with the 1860 Mitchell map and the alpha game map. It was sometimes hard to determine how to name a region (trying to get it correct).
