Civil War II - the AI

Are there any significant AI improvements.

Unfortunately, you occasionally read 'not so good' about the AI of AGEOD games.

I really like the games.
What other games offer so much beauty for the eye with such a well thought out gameplay and so pleasant operation?

less about ACW, but in general the AI is good. It will make mistakes, but it will hand your head if you make an error.

One trait it sometimes has is for deep raids, here one solution is to seriously limit its vision (in the game options give it quite a limited capacity to 'see'). At least in Rise of Prussia, where it sometimes got a death wish, doing this stopped it from raiding too deeply and forgettting about supply etc.

But in general, hard+more time=a tricky opponent
AJE The Hero, The Traitor and The Barbarian
PoN Manufacturing Italy; A clear bright sun
RoP The Mightiest Empires Fall
WIA Burning down the Houses; Wars in America; The Tea Wars

If you play with easy supply off and no supply advantage to the AI you should see the frequency or at least the duration of deep raids decrease.

Shorter duration will limit the penetration of deep raids. I never play with easy supply on.
