Sandstorms

Thu Feb 13, 2014 4:38 pm

Anybody know anything about the sandstorms in North Africa. In an AI game, I keep trying to cross that desert from egypt to carthage and keep getting caught in sandstorms. They are pretty rough and my troops are taking significant troop and cohesion losses. Each time they have been caught, I gave up the expedition and went back home to rebuild.

My first gereral thought is these sandstorms are timed for winter as both these disasters were wintertime. What seasons are they most likely or can they happen at any time? I wonder if they are set up like the sea storms?

It seems it is very risky moving from Egypt to Carthage whether by sea due to storms or by land due to sandstorms.

Glad to see that sandstorms and sea storms are working as intended.

SandStorms can happen anytime

Sea Storms can happen anytime but most likely in winter time.

Me too. I just lost a large Roman fleet in the first Punic war scenario to a storm. Several hundred ships. That happened to the Romans in that war, more than once. I love the realism!
