PBEM with password

Sun Mar 10, 2013 4:18 pm

I started a PBEM game, and the trn file would arrive corrupted at my opponent when it was not zipped.
(with another opponent we have no problems mailing unpacked files).

Because the zipping and unzipping is slightly inconvenient, I considered using the compressed turn option within the game, but that asks me for a password.

I don't understand how the password thing is supposed to work.
Who sets which password?
If I (hosting the game) set the password on the .trn file of my opponent, how will he open it?
And when my opponent sets the password on his .ord file, how will my program open it?

the password you set within the game is for all the games you handle, you. So if the host set a password, this is for his turn (he don't really need a password...). When you get your first TRN file and start making orders, you can activate zip and then enter a password, which will encrypt your ORD file.
