Can´t wait for this. Samnites, Phyrrus and Carthaginians weren´t pushovers, those scenarios should be quite balanced and very good for PBEM play (two sides only is another plus).
I am so psyched for this! Looks really awesome and I love playing with NON-Roman factions and it seems that here all the scenarios feature a playable non-Roman side that's really great! I just hope that there are enough events etc to keep it interesting since those are all rather long campaigns in a smaller area than the main campaigns. But looking at these detailed screens I doubt I'll be disappointed.
Reading this, how exactly will the recruitment potential of Rome vs Pyrrhus be represented actually? It is really easy to reinforce your forces in AJE (personally, I generally find it a bit too easy). Just way less money? Expensive reinforcement chits?
These earlier conflicts are interesting, because Rome was still a weaker power back then and things could have gone very differently than they actually did. For example, Carthage was stronger during the First Punic War than in the second. They also had one magnificent general, Hamilcar Barca, the father of the now more famous Hannibal.
Are leader portraits definite ones? Was expecting custom made ones for the new scenarios, Phyrrus with the portrait of Mithridate is kinda meh to be honest. Important leaders atleast should have specially made portraits imho. I know some of them have no known portrait but atleast should feel unique.
